We’ve been meaning to get to this story for a few days, so please forgive the tardiness. Earlier this week, Kirby posted about this story that appeared in the Frederick News Post:
Borderline criminal? Let’s dig a little further into this story, shall we? What it comes down to is a disagreement between this landowner and CSX as to who owns a piece of land. This gentleman and the county have wildly different opinions as to who owns parcel. So, when did this disagreement really pick up steam? Here’s a screenshot from the FNP article:
HMMMM.. who was in charge of the county government from 2009- Summer 2014? Is there any way to find this information out?

Wow, just wow! And, it’s just a tiny bit hard to feel as though the landowner is in the right here when he’s quoted as saying something like this:
Holy moly, this county! Anyhoo, Kirby needs to accept some of the blame for this situation since it occurred when he was on the BOCC. Nowhere do we see where Jan has played a hand in this. Tis just another day of # being hyperbolic and not telling the whole truth!
The biggest land grab in Frederick Countyhistory happened about the time Lord Baltimore wag given & began to selllamd that belonged to native Americans who had lived in the Monocacy River Valley farming for hundreds if not thousands of years raising maize and corn. Ttheir semi and permanent settlements were seized as they were driven off their ancestoral lands by colonistson thethenFrontier. Native Americans were hunted and killed. Smallpox also took atoll. Since the 1600s to 1780s newcomers who took their land paid no rental fees or interest fees. This was the biggestlandgrab happening about the time of the Seven Years War (French & Indian War’). AtConestoga, PA a massacre happened as a small band of 20 who tried to escape to the north were killed. This Maryland frontier was a very dangerous place for native Americans. Shoulder honor their place in history w/a Eastern Woodlands Native Americans Valley Trail along the Monocacy River ? They paid so much and received so little (nothing) for their lands. When will the Frederick Farm Bureau correct this mortal sin ?

I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if Kirby’s ongoing ditchdigging concern did the work on this guy’s land.
related: I saw blaine young powerwalking in front of my house the other day. It looked like he was having several mid-life crises at once. I’m glad he’s got fun new hair and he’s looking after his health and all that, it’d just be nice if he stopped being a colossal dick all the time.

It really would be!

Also worth noting: Jan Gardner’s comprehensive planning document is based on Livable Frederick’s community survey, probably the most inclusive public input in the county’s history — and far more transparent than anything out of the last BOCC.
Personally, I’m just so damned tired of the constant lies. Thank you for calling them all out locally. We need a Yokel for the whole USA. Craig Tyler 240 357 8081
